Article on "Employment Issues" (GEN-FEB 2022) - Legal dimensions of the demolition of old buildings in large development projects 

Our Office was kindly invited to write an article for the magazine "Ergotaxiaka Themata" (January-February 2022 issue) on the subject: "The legal dimensions of the demolition of old buildings in large development projects".

"The implementation of large development projects in our country, as everywhere, collides with mathematical precision, almost always and reasonably, in the discovery through the excavations of archaeological treasures or remains. The existence of a legal classification of the protection of the cultural environment, I think, is also indisputable in case. Recently, in the case of the projects in Elliniko, the Central Archaeological Council (KAS) gave an opinion in favor of the legality of the demolition of old buildings in order to speed up the implementation of the announced investment. However, even in this case, the KAS set strict conditions for the this demolition, after emphasizing that the discovery of such treasures would automatically block the continuation of the investment..."
