Identity 

Panagiotis Galanis is an Attorney-at-Law, with an honors Doctorate from the Faculty of Law of UoA, from which he obtained an honors degree (LLB) in Law and an honors Master's Degree in Environmental, Urban Planning and Energy Law (LLM). He is currently a Post-Doctoral Researcher in Environmental Law in Faculty of Law of UoA.

Legal Cases

As an experienced Attorney, he deals with legal consulting and legal cases in Administrative Law (Environmental Law - Urban Planning Law) and Energy Law.

He provides services in Athens, Lamia and the rest of Greece, upon consultation.

He has ten years of experience (2012-2023) in Environmental Law and Urban Planning Law, having worked in Athens in these subjects for many consecutive years.

He is an expert in the field of environmental protection and mainly forest legislation, but also urban planning.

He has handled important Urban Planning and Environmental Law cases, concerning land uses, protected areas, project licensing, building permits, forestry issues, arbitrary, energy projects, RES, etc., either in advisory (to investors and companies), or in court, with an emphasis on annulment judicial protection before the Council of State and the Administrative Appeals Courts of the country.

He works as a legal advisor with businesses and individuals, investors, associations, companies and environmental unions and NGOs. 

Academic and writing activity  (books, studies etc.)

He has written and published ten (10) scientific legal books so far. 

His first book is about Environmental Law.

He has also written a book in the field of Forestry Law and Environmental Impact Assessment and Licensing of projects and activities.

He is a lecturer-trainer at the National School of Judges (ESDI).

He is a trainer of professionals, giving lectures at seminars in his field (e.g. at the CECL Foundation).

He has participated with presentations in a number of conferences of related subjects in several institutions of the country, such as UoA, NTUA etc.

In addition, he has published a large number of studies related to his above interests in mainly legal (e.g. Environment and Law, Applications of Public Law, etc.) but also other journals and studies in conference proceedings.

He speaks English and French.
